Trombini Industrial S.A, a well known corrugated cardboard boxes manufacturer, in Brazilian market, decided in 1989 to start a new paper machine to produce “Sack Kraft”, the new PM3, at their Fraiburgo/Santa Catarina Mill, by that time that was the first machine completely manufactured by Hergen Paper Machinery, this machine since its construction and after rebuilds which were done in 2001, 2005 and 2009, has presented excellent productivity and quality for the range of basis weight produced.

By the end of this year, the Fraiburgo unit will start up the new “Kraft Liner” machine, the PM4.
Once again Hergen feels honored for the confidence Trombini Group has in it for the complete supply of this new machine, which is a sign of evolution and continuous technological development of Hergen Paper Machinery, in a way the made it a great option to its customers.

The double layer PM4 was designed for a 1000 m/min. working speed, with final product deckle of 2500 mm. A Modern concept for paper machine formation, pressing and drying are being applied on this new machine, all of this result in an excellent investment cost per ton of paper produced rate. The machine will be equipped with the most modern drying concept for machines of the same category; the layout allows easy operation and mainly great drying efficiency. Hergen’s team has been working hard on this project for six months, and future upgrades were already planned, so customer can improve machine’s capabilities in an easy and modular way, without long stoppage periods or huge layout modifications.
